I was paying consistent overage charges with Bell doubling my bill and problematic sipped when it is busy with family at the cottage and lots of people logged in. Lakeland provided exceptional service to get us a connection speed that is double that is offered by Bell in the area. Their customer support was exceptional far superior than most service providers in any industry. I highly recommend Lakeland Networks.

Great price and customer service, but extremely unreliable connection, especially in heavy rain or snow. I work from home exclusively, which has become nothing short of a nightmare since using this ISP. Unfortunately, choices are limited up here, so I'm stuck with it.Edit: within 24 hours of receiving my review, the team at Lakeland investigated my service issues and made the changes needed for my connection to be more reliable. They reached out to me after they had fixed the issue as well, in order to get more information so they could make it even better. As stated in my original review, the customer service is great! They really went above and beyond to fix the issue. You can't get that kind of service with the big name ISP's.Second edit: several days later and no response to either of my emails.... Just an updated service contract, locking me into an additional two years of horrible internet. Their changes to correct my issues lasted a whole afternoon before going south again.My current speed is 22kbps.. Fairly certain I signed up for 2 GB, but I digress. Should have just stuck with Rogers or Bell.

so didnt have internet for 4 days, and my connections and speeds all got screwed up because of a fiber break in a cable. and this is how they handled it....... so first they pro rated all the days to insure i didnt pay for services i wasnt provided. (credited fairly and properly) Then i was transferred to an amazing rep of the name of Michael Jamieson part of the Network Operations Team. who figured out very fast the issues regarding my router, reset and made sure everything was working properly and answered all questions i had with ease, and has helped our overall living at home now that we have perfect high speed internet. (Best i ever had and i game alot). He proceeded to provide additional tools to help make the connections ever more secure and perform even faster. (Didnt even ask, but he knew i needed to know). So glad to have spoken to a great team who handles issues with pose, intelligence and are actual knowledgeable professional experts.

Not impressed at all with the lack of communication from this company never even ended up getting installed after over a month to be told another 5-6 weeks just ended up going with a different company would not recommend unless you enjoy headaches.Edit: it’s not the fact we had to wait a month it’s the fact they never called and never got an install date after we had our appointment moved 3 times then my wife’s calls were screened and when I finally got through I was told I would have to wait another 5-6 weeks after I already had waited over a month just to be told something else every time.

I honestly can't say enough about how great the team at Lakeland has been to deal with. I have found them to be incredibly responsive, highly communicative and always willing to help. Their new cottage area wireless network is significantly faster than anything you'll be able to get from an LTE hub and will be great for home users looking to watch TV online, etc. without having to worry about overages!

Bell and Rogers tried and failed to get me internet service. Lakeland Networks(which stupidly was my last choice) succeeded!The service man they sent out (Paul) was frickin amazing. He went so far above and beyond to help both me and my neighbor find a way to get internet at our cottages. You would not believe the lengths he had to go thru to get us hooked up. It took two trips and an odyssey of wire but he got it done and lo and behold hi speed internet. I am so bloody impressed with Persistent" Paul that I had to write this for others to see. He also tells Hilarious stories about the "Old days" when internet was new to Muskoka. Special shout out to Bobbie Joe and the others at the office who took my calls and put up with me and all my annoying questions. I apologize for being such a pest.Thank you Paul and Lakeland Networks. You have saved the kids from having meltdowns because of no internet. Apparently it was ruining their lives and cottage experience. (eyeroll)"

Something caused the tv/internet cable to be pulled from the pole (on Thursday 27 October 2022). Different members of Lakeland suggest it was snow, another says a large vehicle pulled it down from 20' in the air. A crew comes and reinstalls the cable, on Friday 28 October, suggesting (dishonestly) that the service will 'most likely' be working later. After the work is complete, I try to reboot the modem...nothing. I call technical support for the fourth time. They'll call back. An honest employee, unlike the earlier crew member, from technical support calls and advises that there is no one available to repair the fibre portion of the problem and the service 'probably' won't be working until Monday.I hope my contract with this company is complete soon so that I can find an honest and professional provider. I'll 'probably' pay the remainder of what I owe on the contract but 'most likely' not the complete amount. Terrible and dishonest customer service.

Amy and Ian Cameron were so very helpful in my quest for information about their services and how they could help me in dealing with a move for my uncle who was moving after 50 years. Ian's advice helped me deal with getting all the information I needed and made this stressful experience so much more calming. Top notch service!!!!
